Evan Bell Farrior, a native of Jersey City, New Jersey, attending the public school system. He then went on to graduate from Essex County College, New Jersey City University and New York School of the Bible. He taught Special Education in the Jersey City Public Schools for 30 years and retired in 2013. An orphanage and school were named after him in Gardnerville, Monrovia, Liberia, West Africa. Besides being an educator, he is also a counselor, a historian, a mentor, a minister, a notary public, a singer, a songwriter, a published poet and author, and an advocator and entrepreneur. He’s the recipient of numerous awards included the Ronald Regan Gold Medal
